Jason Kottke created this page last year for the 40th anniversary – presenting it online as it appeared (same exact time coverage started) in 1969. Tres Cool!
Two score and one year ago, man landed on the moon for the first time and planted his foot on the soil. That man was Neil Armstrong, and he said these famous words: “One small step for man, one giant leap for… mankind.” Wired is commemorating the achievement today in their “This Day in Tech” [...]
Boy howdy, I’m excited about this: Virgin Galactic has been doing tests on their new SpaceShipTwo spacecraft. Let’s hope this puppy launches before the end of the year…

China, China, China… What in the world are you doing investing your time and hard earned American consumer dollars (and a chunk of our national debt too) into building rocket ships? Shouldn’t you, you know, be investing in military power and domestic tranquility so that when the day comes when you want to be the [...]
Oh how we tiny humans sometimes forget that our technology is what’s keeping this world of ours afloat, and we also tend to forget how that technology has the ability to impact our lives on a personal level. Take, for instance, the news that the provider of satellite imaging for Google launched a new satellite [...]
